This Studio is run by Kari McDonald who has ambition and tact to make her items as special as possible. Whether it be her handmade repurposed jewelry and accessories out of old antique buttons, her handmade prints and other artwork, or her unique vintage finds, it will definitely speak to you on a must-have level. Handmade button items include brooch pins, pendant necklaces, rings, bookmarks, cufflinks, and the very popular salt cellar ring boxes. While hunting for vintage buttons, she has found many other nostalgic items that she just couldn't pass up because she knew someone else would love to have them, too. Kari graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2010 with a BFA in Printmaking and is currently building up her basement studio to create etchings, screen prints, and woodcuts with greener processes. She is also working on a "year-long" collage project, which you can view on this website.
